15 Months And Looking Ahead

So there’s something that has been weighing heavily on my mind the past few weeks and I tried to put it on Twitter last night and I just couldn’t seem to get it out in only 140 characters. So I thought I’d put it in a supremely overdue blog post!

I have been in Nashville about 15 months now and it has been one of the best, most confusing, most difficult and most FUN years of my life. I have learned many hard lessons about trust, about people who misuse their faith, about the industry and about making music. Just a few months after moving to town I found out I was going to be on The Voice. I had actually auditioned for Season 1, but was pre-committed to directing a show back at Oklahoma State that I couldn’t bail on to continue the secondary auditions, so I was thrilled when I got called back for Season 2 and got to continue!

Hey ya’ll! Thanks for coming to check out the site! I look forward to interacting with yall, getting to know you, and hopefully letting you get to know me.

Music has always been a huge part of my life, but not until recently did I have the courage to begin singing myself. About 6 months ago I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Public Relations and moved to Nashville on a whim and a dream.
